We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Support Specialist with strong expertise in Microsoft Project to assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects for our client within the Water Industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Planning and Scheduling**:

- Assist in developing detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
- Maintain and update project schedules, ensuring all tasks and activities are accurately tracked.
- Coordinate with project managers to align project objectives and ensure adherence to project plans.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**:

- Collect and analyze project data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with insights into project status, progress, and performance metrics.
- Utilize forecasting techniques to predict project outcomes and resource requirements.
- **Resource Management**:

- Assist in the allocation and management of project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor resource utilization and provide recommendations for optimizing resource allocation.
- **Documentation and Communication**:

- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, ensuring information is accurately conveyed and documented.
- Support the organization and coordination of project meetings, workshops, and presentations.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Provide general administrative support to the project management team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing project files.
- Assist in the procurement and management of project-related materials and services.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a project support or project coordination role.
- Proven experience using Microsoft Project for project scheduling and management.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., JIRA, Asana) is a plus.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in data analysis and forecasting within a project management context.

**Working Conditions**:

- Office-based
- Occasional travel may be required.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract

Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
