**Kia Product Genius - Apprenticeship**

Hawkins Kia St Stephen are expanding, we were one of the first Kia Dealers in the UK and for over over 20 years we have continued to grow a very loyal, local customer base. In the Autumn we will be relocating to a brand new, large dealership built to the new Kia Global CI at a new site on the A30 at Indian Queens. Kia is a global car manufacturer and is one of the UK’s top selling car brands and has many exciting innovative new Electric models due for launch over the next 24 months. Kia were the first to introduce a 7 Year Warranty and enjoy high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Kia offers customers features a very broad range of ICE, Hybrid and leading Electric models.

**The Role**

This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in the Retail Motor Industry, the purpose of the role is to provide the best possible customer experience and to assist the Dealer Principal and Sales Team as is required.

This is a full time position, the Kia Genius Apprenticeship programme will support you to become a fully qualified and accredited Kia Genius with an enhanced focus on technology and product knowledge. Once qualified, the apprentice you will be responsible for:

- Promoting the Kia brand through customer interactions, sharing information on technology, charging and product specification.
- Advising customers on electric car ownership including EV grants, charging options and driving features
- Completing product walkarounds, test drives and vehicle handovers, enhancing the customer experience at every point of contact.
- Recognising and dealing with customer enquiries

**Training**

Commencing with a 15 month fully accredited sales apprenticeship delivered over 10 Training blocks via virtual classroom and the new Kia Academy in Derby. As part of your apprenticeship training, Kia Genius apprentices will complete 10 blocks of learning including:

- Professional development
- Handling enquiries
- Vehicle handover
- Brand and market awareness
- Test drive skills
- Delivering customer excellence
- Communication, active listening and influencing skills
- Introduction to hybrid and electric vehicles

In addition to the completion of your City and Guilds Level 2 Sales qualification, apprentices will also be supported in completing the following:

- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Kia product knowledge modules
- Systems, technology and features modules
- Understanding electric vehicles
- Advanced electrification
- Advanced customer handling
- Communication, active listening and influencing skills

**Requirements**:

- Ideally you will have a minimum of 12 months retail/customer facing experience

You must have:

- Good IT, Maths & English skills.
- Be able work well as part of a team and independently.
- Be a clear and confident communicator.
- Be of smart appearance appropriate to the role.
- Have good time management and punctuality.
- Hold a Full clean UK Drivers Licence.
- Be able to reliability commute to and from the dealership.

This is a dealership based role and you will be required to work weekends on a rotational basis.

**Salary will be the National Apprentice Wage for your age.**
