ABOUT YOU

We are looking for you to have the following:

- Strong background of volume account management to retail as well as through importers and agents would be an advantage
- Communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team building skills sufficient to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse workforce
- A proven track record of successful negotiation and profitable growth
- Proven ability to establish strategic alliances with key decision makers internally and externally, combined with the ability to model this behaviour for direct reports
- Establishing a clear and understandable vision for the team to deliver sales growth
- Evidence of success in managing a sales team incorporating but not exclusively delivery of results, team development and progression
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Hands on approach and lead by example
- Good IT literacy and presentation skills

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Key activities:

- Providing strong sales leadership, line management and vision to the sales team across a variety of locations to ensure full alignment with overall Intertek objectives
- Full accountability for establishing and achievement of commercial targets - revenue, profit, and growing market share
- Strategic account management for accounts with revenue both in the UK and Globally
- Divesting account support to relevant individuals within team to maintain focus on identifying and initiating major opportunities
- Effective team management to ensure relevant stage of customer relationship managed throughout team
- Deliver high standards of customer relations and service and be a positive company representative to customers
- Collaboration with operations team to ensure a joined-up approach to sales delivery
