**Job Outline**

Your responsibility spans from the production of excellent, delicious, sustainable pizza through to the best standards of hygiene and the minimisation of food waste. Delicious seasonal salads and innovative sides accompany our pizza and once you have become accustomed to all things pizza, there is plenty of space for your creative flair to come alive in these areas.

You will work at various times of week and different types of shift
- sometimes with sole responsibility for the kitchen and at other times as part of a team in the kitchen. You will, at all times be part of the wider team at Well Kneaded and will be expected to attend and participate in team meetings.

You will be relied upon to maintain extremely high standards of hygiene, operational smoothness and food quality and preparation efficiency within all areas of food preparation. The role combines skill and efficiency in food preparation and delivery with some management aspects if you are supervising a shift. Naturally you will be working with a team to deliver these services and so will need to be a strong team player, efficient, organised and able to take responsibility and motivate those around you.

You will have great initiative as well as a keen eye for detail and, we hope you will be excited to engage in innovation and sustainable output within the WK kitchen.

**The right person will be passionate to develop the role and will have the opportunity to progress to head of pizza or into other roles as appropriate.**

The provisional arrangement for your role will be approximately 70/30 pizza kitchen/FOH split. That is to say there will be quieter times where you are serving customers as well as making pizza so you need to enjoy customer interaction

**Requirements**:

- 2 + years pizza chef experience, confident with electric and wood fire oven
- Experience with sourdough pizza and different flours is a bonus
- Organised, responsible
- Competent with ordering, stock takes and check lists.
- Willingness to prioritise a team work ethic over individual recognition.
- Passion for pizza and innovative seasonal food.
- Applied desire to develop skills and innovate, readiness to adhere to WK’s values on sourcing and menu compostion.
- Ability to receive feedback within the context of positive support structure
- Capacity to undertake all food prep tasks with skill and efficiency
- Health and hygiene level 2 (if you don’t have it, you would need to complete it prior to starting)

**In the Peckham Levels Pizza Kiosk.**
- The pizza chef will be responsible for making pizzas during service and preparing ingredients for pizza, supporting the site manager and working in partnership with the Front of House team and other pizza and prep chefs as well as wider team in Earlsfield._
- **Primary responsibilities**:_
- Pizza making: handling of wood fired oven or electric oven (Balham) opening and topping pizza bases
- Dough making: making sourdough in accordance with our recipes and practices
- Good kitchen cleaning standards: Responsible for maintaining clean pizza kitchen, fridges, floors, surfaces at all times
- Greeting and hosting guests, taking orders and serving food and drinks.
- Quality control; able to consistently produce excellent pizza and food in accordance with our seasonal menus and taking into account allergens
- Opening and closing pizza kitchen and, on FOH shifts, the pizzeria in its entirety.
- Daily opening up and cleaning down of pizza kitchen including mopping, sweeping and deep cleans.
- Assembling salads, desserts, antipasti and any other specials
- Stock control and rotation; communicating within the team about prep tasks (using Trello app).
