East Durham College is looking for an engaging, energetic and enthusiastic individual for this exciting role within the School Engagement Team. This is an outward-facing role that requires constant energy, a proactive attitude and a creative approach.
The role is essential in helping the college to build close, meaningful relationships with a wide range of schools as well as helping to increase enrolments, market share and developing new opportunities. You will deliver meaningful engagements with potential students and the wider community.
You will be part of the critical team that leads our engagement with potential learners of all ages but has a key focus on supporting the decision-making process of school leavers and their parents/carers. You will engage with them early to make them aware of East Durham College, our broad offer and the key benefits of studying at EDC; helping to make us their college of choice. You will be a confident presenter and someone who thrives on delivering targets.
You will work very closely with the two other School Engagement & Recruitment Officers in the team under the management of the Careers Leader Manager as a key part of the college’s marketing function.
**The main purpose of the post**:
Your role will be to deliver an ambitious curriculum to all by assisting and supporting the College’s Schools Team & Manager with schools and community activity to promote an understanding of the opportunities available at East Durham College and achieve growth in 16-18 student recruitment.
**Main duties**:
- To provide information, advice and guidance about the college offer to young people in schools, in college and at other local events.
- To promote the East Durham College offer through the delivery of:
- Assembly presentations to school pupils on a regular basis.
- Attendance at schools’ career events, drop-in events, workshops, parents’ evenings.
- To provide engaging campus tours to groups and individuals.
**Essential Criteria**
- Qualification at Level 3 or higher or equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- A highly motivated team player with high energy and excellent interpersonal skills.
- A passion for sales.
- Excellent organisational skills.
