About the role
Cambridgeshire County Council are looking for someone to lead and coordinate the successful delivery of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) assurance programme, working closely with the leadership team to manage implementation and achieve assurance. You will have great organisational skills, deliver successful projects on time and have communication skills that bring others with you.
If you can fill this role, then we want to hear from you
Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for someone to support the Adults, Health and Commissioning Directorate to take on this challenge and prepare our readiness for assessment.
Cambridgeshire County Council is preparing for a new phase of assurance, for the people who access our services, the residents of the county and those external to the council, such as the Care Quality Commission.
This is a new era for Adult Social Care and brings some exciting opportunities to work with us in our readiness for this, to know ourselves better and provide the assurance to others.
Our focus will be on evidencing and providing assurance on our journey to improve services to the people of Cambridgeshire. This will also involve working closely with internal and external partners, to demonstrate how we all work effectively together.
The role will provide leadership and support in service development, including improvement programmes, performance improvement and providing support alongside the co-ordination to the adult social care self-assessment and CQC assurance process.
If you have the passion for driving change and an ambition to help shape our future, this could be the perfect next role for you.
In this key role, you will work working closely with the Executive Director for Adults, Health and Commissioning, Principal Social Worker, Service Directors, and liaise closely with Children's Social Care, key partners and providers to ensure there is shared understanding of the Directorates strategic ambitions and priorities in the delivery of adult social care services.
The post holder will have a wide knowledge of key national policies, successful project delivery and transformational change to understand key relationships, with partners, stakeholders along with experience of supporting senior leaders.
The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
About you
- Be highly motivated, proactive and innovative, with a proven track record of delivery.
- Coordinate and lead our readiness for CQC assessment, working closely with colleagues across the Council, in shaping, preparing and owning our assurance.
- Contribute to a strong and inclusive engagement plan, to ensure buy in and ownership from the Adults, Health, and Commissioning workforce, along with the wider corporate leadership.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and expert practitioners to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and promote best practices.
- Provide comprehensive support to the DASS by managing key projects, problem solving and highlighting and resolving risks and issues.
- Prepare reports, making recommendations to update and advise senior managers.
- Contribute to a clear and compelling strategic vision for assurance and transformation within Adults, Health and Commissioning aligning with Cambridgeshire’s Strategic Ambitions.
