North East, United Kingdom Aston Charles Full time

We are very proud to be partnering with one of the world’s best-known and most trusted composite insurance companies, which is seeking a talented Property Risk Consultant in the North East of England.

This household name company is always innovating; providing the latest best practice loss prevention advice, services and solutions for its commercial customers.

People within this specialist team are well-known for citing, “This is the best job in insurance”, due to the fact that it is highly interesting, varied, and free from the sales pressures and targets that come hand in hand with many jobs in the insurance industry.
Moreover, many employees have voted this company as the best place to work in insurance. It is well-renowned for looking after its employees, and people very rarely leave.

In this home-based role, you will support regional, ‘middle-market’ accounts that have typical insurance premium spends ranging from £25K to £250K. These clients span a wide range of industry sectors, including but not limited to, Manufacturing, Wholesaling, Leisure and Retail.
You will produce bespoke quality survey reports and risk improvements, ensuring that clients’ risk controls are in place, and that fire and security specifications meet this insurer’s requirements. You’ll prepare and deliver presentations to senior client management and in addition, you’ll be managing and co-ordinating risks, as well as handling technical referrals from brokers, clients and colleagues.

Working on a truly home-based contract, you will enjoy a great deal of flexibility. On average, you’ll see 3 clients a week (either face to face within a tight, local geographical patch, or via sophisticated remote video conferencing technology). Around that, as long as the work gets done in time, you can complete your admin whenever you like to suit your own personal circumstances. In, fact, flexibility is one of the major selling points of this role; this company is adamant that its roles fit around people’s lives

You’ll enjoy working within a highly engaged and friendly team, where your professional development will be proactively encouraged. In addition to the superb training, you will have the support of highly experienced specialists within the team, who will help to quickly bring you up to speed in any areas where you lack previous experience. Being the large organisation that it is, for the ambitious, career development opportunities are plentiful, and you’ll benefit from a clearly-defined career path.

You will be rewarded with a completive basic salary (negotiable, depending on experience), plus what is arguably the top benefits package in the market, which includes a company car, generous defined contribution pension scheme, annual performance-related bonus, holiday allowance of 29 days plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days, up to 40% discount on some of the company’s products (including discounts for friends and family), and an attractive, matching share save scheme.
