If so, join us to train to become a Podiatry Assistant and gain an Assistant Practitioner Foundation Degree in Podiatry whilst you work.

The Podiatry Assistant post is a new and innovative route to‘Earn whilst you learn'and combines 18 months
- 2 years of clinical employment, work based learning, and academic learning. It is a fully funded route towards an accredited qualification as a Podiatry Assistant.

We have multiple posts based across the whole county of Oxfordshire.

Podiatry Assistants are support workers specialising in the lower limb (feet, ankles, and legs), providing high quality clinical care to people of all ages. You will work to protect people’s feet, providing preventative advice, care, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a range of problems affecting the foot and lower limb.

You will have excellent communication skills, enjoy problem solving and wish to develop practical and intellectual skills to improve patient outcomes. You will be joining a dedicated podiatry team providing expert care to improve patients quality of life.

As Oxfordshire is a rural county and many of our bases are away from public transport routes; applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a car for work. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Programme content

The academic part of the training will be remote learning provided by the University Centre South Devon over the 18 months - 2-year period. One day a week will be dedicated to theory distance learning provided by the University and the remaining days will be spent working within the Podiatry department.
