We are currently recruiting for Procurement Assistant to join a leading multi-disciplinary Civil Engineering consultancy based Cambridgeshire. The Procurement Assistant will oversees the strategic side of developing and purchasing assets and services withinthe company.

The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for processing procurement transactions accurately and on a timely basis and to support with the process of purchase orders on our inhouse procurement system

**Procurement AssistantPosition Overview**
- Inputting or Processing of Purchase Orders accurately, on a timely basis, and in accordance with company policy
- Support the Procurement Administrator with Processing Purchase orders accurately, on a timely basis, and in accordance with company policy
- Liaise with suppliers and yard staff to ensure a free flow of information about expected goods receipts
- Assist Procurement Manager in the production of Procurement statistics
- Assisting with the integrations of new internal systems
- Managing the purchasing of PPE and issuing to staff
- Extract and report off of the purchasing system

**Procurement AssistantPosition Requirements**
- GCSE passes in Maths and English
- Minimum of 6 months purchasing experience
- Experience using purchase order software
- Good IT skills, competent with the use of internet, E-mail, and Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook)

It would be advantageous to have;
- Knowledge of fibre optic network materials used by major providers - e.g. Virgin Media, Gigaclear, Openreach
- Knowledge of civils materials commonly used in the installation of fibre optic networks
- Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
- CIPS level 1 or 2 qualification or BTEC Business Studies

**Procurement AssistantPosition Remuneration**
- Salary: £24,000 per annum DOE
- Holiday: 25 days per annum
