- To be a central point of contact within the Trust for staff and medical and physician associate students, providing advice or guidance on issues relating to learning, this may be complex and involve sensitive staff or service user
- To support the development of education in SHSC and links across professional boundaries.
- To support and supervise the role of Patient Ambassador to increase lived experience in the design and delivery of teaching.
- To support and supervise volunteers with lived experience in the delivery of teaching.
- Maintain a professional appearance in line with the Trust dress code.
- Uphold the Trust’s values and behave in a manner fitting with the responsible position of the role, maintaining the public confidence.
- Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with staff and respect the equality and diversity of each and every person he/she comes into contact with in the course of his/her business.
- Uphold the privacy and dignity of the client group and respect equality at all times.
- The post holder will work with the Postgraduate Education Co-Ordinator and Medical Staffing Co-Ordinator, other administrators and doctors at all levels following established procedures, using own initiative and seeking advice or guidance from others as and when required.

- Work with placement teams to ensure the number of mentors/placement providers/ assessors across the Trust are sufficient to support students.
- Continual review and improvement of teaching materials, lesson plans etc
- Encouraging and supporting doctors in training to be involved with the delivery of teaching.
- Support the Clinical Tutors and Undergraduate Medical Education Administrator in their
- Provide support of mentors/placement providers/assessors to maintain and increase the availability of high-quality placements.
- To visit placements to support student learning and experience across SHSC
- Where required ensure mentors/placement providers/assessors take appropriate actions to support students who are struggling in practice.
- To facilitate complex situations through the use of persuasion, negotiation and influencing skills.
- To develop and maintain effective partnerships between all potential placement providers with in the Trust, education providers and the Health Education Yorkshire and the Humber (HEYH).
- To develop and maintain appropriate links to positively promote interagency and partnership working.
- To contribute to the development of support systems for mentors/placement providers/assessors, volunteers e.g. Skills sharing workshops, mentoring etc
- To support the process of student feedback and work collaboratively to respond to specific issues raised through
- To develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff in practice to further enhance the quality of placements and
- To contribute to the development of a team approach in meeting the challenges of developing workforce to promote educational
- Maintain registration with the relevant regulatory body as
- Work autonomously from an agreed set of objectives, organising own workload priorities, demonstrating creativity, innovation and flexibility in working practices.
- To lead on identified areas of responsibility relating to placement provision which include, trainee led teaching programme, supporting the Post case conference debrief sessions, supporting and ensuring quality with regards to ILAs,
- Maintaining the Library resources and developing new resources (videos etc) to assist student
- Supporting the Patient as Educator
