- REG252523Are you enthusiastic about connecting staff, students and researchers with the library resources and services they need and the systems which underpin this provision? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Librarian to lead the Discovery and Access Team, which manages library systems and software, including institutional repositories for research publications and data.

You will take a lead on the resource discovery experience of University of Nottingham staff and students. Managing a team of specialists in library systems and metadata, you will ensure that systems and processes are user-focused and reflect institutional need. Your key areas of focus will be the management and development of technical solutions for library management, resource discovery and access, repositories and research.

You will be an experienced manager, able to engage and inspire your team. You will be knowledgeable about Higher Education library services, and the systems and standards which underpin them. You will be curious about developments in the digital space and comfortable with working with colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds, including IT specialists. You will have experience of working with systems and software suppliers to implement enhanced and new features and functionality.

You will be based at our Kings Meadow site, though some of your work may involve visiting one of our libraries. We can offer you a friendly and supportive working environment with the option of a hybrid working arrangement (currently expected to be a minimum of two days on campus). The position is offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), permanent contract. Job share arrangements may be considered.
