- LD252723Are you enthusiastic about providing staff, students and researchers with access to the library resources they need and the professional service to ensure this? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Librarian to lead the Collections Team, which manages and develops physical and online collections across all seven of our libraries and an off-site store.

You will co-ordinate decisions about the content to make available to staff and students, working with colleagues across the section to build effective workflows for acquisition, discovery and review. You will ensure that policies and procedures are fit for purpose and in line with Library and University strategic priorities, that processes are in place to manage collections and plan for future developments and that stakeholders are involved as much as possible.

You will be an experienced manager, able to engage and inspire your team. You will be knowledgeable about the use of information resources in both teaching and research and about longer-term shifts in the scholarly publishing landscape. You will be comfortable with the use of data for making evidence-based decisions, with systems and functionality for supporting discovery and managing collections and will understand the wider context for library collections across HE libraries in general and research libraries in particular.

You will be based at our Kings Meadow site, though some of your work may involve visiting one of our libraries. We can offer you a friendly and supportive working environment with the option of a hybrid working arrangement (currently expected to be a minimum of two days on campus). This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
