The role

The Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Group Learning & Development Team in their delivery of training events and development activities which meet the requirements of the business.

This role is based at our Leicester Training Centre and an important part of this post is to ensure the venue is run in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing all necessary documentation required for the training courses. Saving/uploading documentation to the company system

Inform the Trainers and/or Senior Training Co-ordinator of any issues that are likely to adversely impact quality of client care and/or health and safety of employees. Support the trainers in some aspects of the training delivery when needed.

Support the Training Team to ensure cost efficiency in creation, production and delivery of training resources

Taking responsibility for the PA accommodation next door to the training venue. This will include ensuring there is always sufficient bedding/towels available. Welcoming visitors/learners to their rooms and issuing their key cards to them if they arrive during the week. Checking the property/rooms are being respected and reporting any maintenance issues to the Senior Training Co-ordinator. Ensuring there is always a sufficient supply of necessary items such as toilet rolls, hand wash etc.

Support the Senior Training Co-ordinator to carry out designated health and safety checks of the properties and grounds.

Liaise with various departments as needed including recruitment/Onboarding and The People teams re: documents needed for employment (references, evidence of right to work etc.)

Booking venues for training to take place and booking equipment hire if necessary

Arranging servicing of all relevant training equipment across the venues

Ensuring that our Learning Management system is kept up to date to ensure the smooth running of the booking schedule, compliance reporting a and e-learning.

Ensuring there is cover for the practical sessions of the training that require support from other staff such as Clinical Skills Trainers, Care Managers or qualified staff within different services

Supporting other services within the group with all admin needs relating to training of staff

Reporting on compliance for training across various services

Attend and contribute to Team Meetings as required

Maintain own knowledge and competence by undertaking appropriate continuing professional development

Tasks and projects as determined by Training Manager

Inform the Learning and Development Manager of any issues that are likely to adversely impact quality of client care and/or health and safety of employees
- Excellent organisational and time management skill
- Adaptable and flexible approach to tasks
- Computer literate with good Microsoft Word knowledge
- Independent, self-motivated and able to work with mínimal direct supervision
- This is a fast paced and varied role where you will meet lots of people, you will need to someone who can adapt to people and situations.
- Experience within an administrative role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Based at the Leicester Training Venue
