**Position**:Recruitment and Engagement Officer

**Salary**:Circa £25,000 per annum

**Position Purpose**:The Recruitment and Engagement officer position is a field based role in the West Midlands so access to your own vehicle is essential.

You will be required to promote the B-Skill offer and generate learner referrals for a range of B-Skill learning programmes (i.e Employability, Apprenticeships etc) against set targets. Responsible for creating a healthy pipeline of learners through various channels including engagement with local community hubs, charities, Job Centre Plus and other stakeholders. You will also identify vacancy opportunities with local employers for learners to progress into employment.

The Recruitment and Engagement Officer will provide high quality, impartial information, advice and guidance to individuals interested in enrolling in a B-Skill programme.

**Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
Include but are not limited to the following:

- Take accountability for recruiting local learners onto B-Skill learning programmes in the West Midlands creating a healthy pipeline of learners.
- You will liaise with local community hubs, charities, Job Centre Plus and other stakeholders to secure referrals for B-Skill programmes.
- You will develop relationships with associated Job Centre Plus offices across the region by attending meetings, floor walking and forging relationships with individual Work Coaches and Advisors to promote B-Skill.
- You will be responsible for providing clear and accurate careers information, advice and guidance to potential learners.
- You will support with onboarding/ learner enrolments to meet company targets ensuring right learners are on enrolled on the right programme.
- You will ensure that induction/on-boarding days are organised and run smoothly with a positive experience for all learners ensuring that all necessary documentation required for new learners commencing a B-Skill qualification is fully completed and compliant.
- You will attend local recruitment events to promote B-Skill and identify suitable opportunities for learners.
- Collaborate closely with Head of Operations and Head of Sales & Marketing to ensure the viability of all training provisions and meet contract profiles.
- Support with generating employment opportunities for learners, matching their skills, experience & knowledge to the positions available.
- Record all interactions with learners in a timely manner to meet contract deadlines and evidence requirements.
- Undertake concise tracking and recording of activity internal referral trackers and monitoring systems.
- Promote B-Skill’s commitment to safeguarding and the health, safety and welfare of learners ensure on-going pastoral responsibilities, dealing with any issues in accordance with B-Skill procedures.
- You will be a brand ambassador for B-Skill, passionate about who we are and what we do, promoting the B-Skill brand and our recruitment, training and development solutions.

**Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills Required**

**Experience and Knowledge**
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain trusting relationships with learners, motivating and supporting them throughout their training journey.
- Must have previous experience working in similar role with client groups
- You must understand the requirements of the contract including funding regulations and quality assurance is advantageous.
- Knowledge of customer needs and current labour market
- Previous experience of providing customer service, advice and guidance and learner support.
- Excellent organisational skills including well developed attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office.
- Experience of using an electronic learner system such as Aptem would be advantageous.
