Are you ready to step into a dynamic role that blends the excitement of retail with the creative flair of event planning and management? We’re seeking a talented individual to join our team on a maternity cover basis, working 2-3 days a week. As the Retail Operations and Events Coordinator, you’ll be the driving force behind our daily operations while also spearheading innovative events and initiatives to elevate our store’s success.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily tasks and operations within the retail store, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Take initiative in planning, organising, and executing events from inception to completion, fostering engaging experiences for our customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building strong relationships and driving sales through personalised interactions.
- Think outside the box to implement strategies for enhancing the store’s success and profitability.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills, particularly in visual merchandising and styling to create captivating displays that showcase our products effectively.
- Maintain a polished and presentable appearance, embodying the brand’s image and values.
- Supervise and support small part-time staff, including creating rotas and providing guidance as needed.
- Handle administrative tasks essential for the smooth operation of a small retail store.
- Liaise with online customers, ensuring excellent service and support for e-commerce transactions.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or similar capacity.
- Proven track record of planning and executing successful events or initiatives.
- Strong sales skills and the ability to drive results through proactive customer engagement.
- Creativity and a knack for thinking outside the box to innovate and improve store performance.
- Excellent organisational abilities with experience in visual merchandising and styling.
- Impeccable presentation and professionalism, representing the brand with confidence.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks and basic computer skills.
- Experience liaising with online customers to manage e-commerce operations effectively.

Desired skills:

- Experience in 360 Marketing: Ability to create and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns that cover all aspects of customer engagement, from digital to in-store experiences.
- Adobe Design Suite: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for creating visually appealing marketing materials, in-store signage, and social media content.
- Event Management: Proven experience in organising and managing events, from small in-store promotions to larger community events, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for attendees.
- Photography: Skills in photography to capture high-quality images of products, events, and store displays for use in marketing materials and social media.
- Videography: Ability to shoot and edit videos for promotional purposes, including product showcases, customer testimonials, and event highlights.
- Social Media Management: Expertise in managing social media accounts, creating engaging content, and growing the store’s online presence through strategic posts and customer interaction.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Experience using CRM software to track customer interactions, manage loyalty programmes, and personalise marketing efforts.
- Inventory Management: Knowledge of inventory control and management systems to ensure accurate stock levels, minimise shrinkage, and optimise product availability.
