We are currently looking for a dynamic and dedicated Outpatient Therapy Team Lead to join our busy Therapies Department. This role represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced therapist already in a leadership role or looking to move into a leadership role.

The outpatient therapies team at St John and St Elizabeth Hospital provides specialist assessment and treatment to patients. Services include Musculoskeletal (MSK), Hand Therapy, Pelvic Health, Neurological rehabilitation, Vestibular Rehabilitation and Respiratory. Our aim is to deliver evidence-based, high quality care, which is achieved through a clear governance strategy, service planning, development and multidisciplinary team working.

Located in leafy St John’s Wood on the Jubilee line, minutes from Central London, our luxury private Hospital has an international reputation for providing the highest quality of care to patients and is unique in that all profits fund our onsite Hospice, St John’s.

**What would be my responsibilities as the Outpatient Therapy Team Lead**:

- To be responsible for the management and daily running of the outpatient therapy department. To co-ordinate and manage the provision of the therapy service, providing clinical direction and leadership to the team.
- To development the outpatient therapy service, striving to ensure best practice, maximum efficiency and productivity and cost effectiveness.
- To lead and engage the team demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
- To nurture a supportive and empathetic approach to teaching, supervision and appraisals.
- To work as an autonomous practitioner, within scope of practice and deliver a quality clinical service; meeting the clinical and strategic needs of the hospital.
- To provide highly specialised assessment and intervention for a varied caseload of outpatients within your specialty, including patients who may have highly complex presentations.
- To develop and foster productive relationships with key stakeholders e.g. Consultants, GPs, patient groups and other links.
- To develop and promote a positive, dynamic image and culture to both internal and external stakeholders. At all times striving to reflect and encourage the hospital’s values.

**Am I the right person for this Outpatient Therapy Team Lead role?**
- BSc (hons) degree in relevant therapy profession or diploma or equivalent
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
- Evidence of post graduate professional development
- Evidence of study or intending to study at Masters level
- Extensive experience in working in outpatient services in the NHS or Private sector.
- Experience of staff and service management.
- Evidence of service development experience.
