A new opportunity is offered in the Patient Safety Team at GHC. We are seeking a colleague to join us as we build our learning assurance capability through planning, supporting the implementation, and measuring the impact of a learning assurance framework within the Trust.

The Patient Safety Team manages all aspects of incident reporting, incident investigation and incident notification and supports the Trusts’ ambition to be an outstanding provider of care. We place continuous improvement and working together at the heart of everything we do so that we can consistently deliver high quality care and make changes that matter to people.

If you have high level communication and engagement skills and the commitment, drive, initiative and talent needed to deliver our ambitious plans to enhance our learning and improvement methods, we would love to hear from you.

The post holder will work with the Learning Assurance Manager to promote a culture of learning excellence. They will continually review and develop learning assurance using a variety of methods, including quality improvement, co-production and co-design.

As we develop our responses the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework the post holder will be key in developing actions from investigations and reviews that are sustainable, relevant and measurable and use a variety of methods to share learning and monitor how we have improved patient safety.

There are opportunities to develop key relationships across the Trust, become an improvement champion within the team and develop new and innovative channels for engaging staff across the Trust.

As a member of the Patient Safety Team you will be at the forefront of improving the safety of care for all of our patients and helping the Trust to become an outstanding learning organisation.
