Legal Secretary

Conveyancing Legal Secretary required for our leading Colchester-based legal client to join their residential property team. To be considered for the role of Conveyancing Legal Secretary you will have previous experience working a s a Legal Secretary, withina conveyancing team where you have to deal with all the legal files involved in residential property conveyancing legal matters. It is essential for this Conveyancing legal secretary position that as well as possessing conveyancing legal secretary experience,have strong audio typing skills, confident communication skills both in writing and verbally, strong attention to detail and most of all willing to go that extra mile for clients and colleagues.
**The Role**
- Assist with post exchange and completion formalities
- Prepare correspondence and complex legal documents
- Audio typing from digital dictation
- Diary management
- File and case management, bill preparation
- Photocopying and scanning
- Meet and greet clients when required
- Providing full secretarial support and general administrative assistance
- Opening, closing and archiving files
- Building and maintaining knowledge of clients and their matters, and the work in general
**The Person**
- Significant and current experience working as a Legal Secretary within conveyancing residential property
- Proven IT (Microsoft Office) and audio typing skills
- Experience using case management systems
- Demonstrate a pro-active approach to your work
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Proof reading, checking for spelling and grammar
