About the employer:
Are you looking for a different sort of position in the care industry.

I am looking to recruit (2 more personal assistants full or part time) to join a team of 6/7 to care for my severely disabled daughter in her own house.

Experience is not essential as training will be given. There are regular training and updates in house and when available out of house or online.

My daughter is also fully supported by the disability nurses and other professional organisations.

Despite being over 50 years of age she has the temperament of someone much younger and the looks to match. Though fully wheelchair bound she loves trips out in her car, which is automatic and fully adapted for my daughter’s needs. She enjoys theatre trips, cinema visits, bowling and swimming. She also likes to go away on short breaks, and we encourage her assistants to be pro-active in planning activities and providing it is suitable and we can afford it she can do it.

I encourage all assistants to go for further development of their career paths and we can obtain funding to take The Diploma in Care up to and including Level 4. These are recognised qualification and three of our staff have completed or in the process of taking these diplomas.

On the practical side, my daughter requires hoisting from chair to bed or shower chair, this is always with two carers present. Personal care is required and assistance to shower, she loves a pamper and enjoys all the things that us ladies love.

She has recently spent a few weeks in hospital unusual for her but as a result had to have a balloon gastric tube inserted in her tummy, to ensure she receives her medication and sufficient nutriment. Full training will be given by a professional disability nurse and support is always available from the other members of the team.

Shifts are morning and late afternoon evening and a sleeping night.

You will have your own bedroom no watching over sitting in a chair, a monitor to check on my daughter is provided.

On call is required so you must live within the Kidderminster area and have a clean driving licence.
