Vacancy Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the environment? Do you have excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join West Berkshire Council as a Waste Services Assistant.

As a Waste Services Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Principal Waste Officer (Operations) in the efficient and effective delivery of waste services.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Responding to customer enquiries and providing advice on waste services
- Maintaining and updating files and records, ensuring accuracy and security of information
- Assisting with the coordination and monitoring of waste collection services

To excel in this role, you should have:

- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A genuine interest in environmental sustainability
