**About the role**

We’re excited to be looking for a
**Head of PMO **to lead, develop and drive continuous improvement within their project management office. The Head of PMO will report directly to the Chief Finance Officer and work very closely with a wide range of senior business stakeholders.

The PMO team covers the disciplines of Project Management, Business Analysis and Change Management disciplines and is central to the delivery of the NCFE strategic vision.

This role will play a pivotal part in helping NCFE deliver against business objectives and deliver on the transformation plan’s objectives through day-to-day development and management of the organisation wide portfolio. The Head of PMO will have oversight for all business change across the whole of the NCFE project estate.

This is a key role supporting NCFE’s growth and will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation by embedding strong governance structures, driving best practice in project management, business analysis, and change management ensuring major programme risk is managed effectively and supporting business change readiness and new ways of working.

**How you’ll make an impact**:

- Leadership, guidance and development of the PMO function, fostering cohesive, supportive and high-performance culture.
- Developing the vision for the PMO team, driving engagement at a senior level of the organisation.
- Effective budget management of projects across NCFE
- Develop and refine PPM frameworks, effective governance structures, tools and templates and driving adoption across the organisation.
- Analyse data and stakeholder feedback to optimise projects and programmes.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects and programmes of work across the organisation.

**We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following**:

- Expert in PPM and experience of managing large and complex portfolios of projects and programmes.
- Recognised project management certification (Prince2/APM/Agile)
- Experience in budget management
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to be strategic, but also drive tactical solutions.
- Solid experience in collecting, analysing and summarising data from disparate sources to drive conclusions and recommendations.
- Demonstrable record of building trusted relationships among cross-functional teams.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to work with senior level stakeholders across the organisation and to work with 3rd party suppliers.

You’ll have exposure to the entirety of the project estate covering both Transformation and Operational project portfolios.
