As a SPA Technical Support Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering added value services to our clients. Collaborating with the SPA Technical Support Manager and the wider SPA team, your responsibilities will include:
**What you will be doing**
**Project Support**:
- Attend pre-start and progress meetings for SPA Partners and AppCo’s.
- Monitor project progress through site visits.
- Address queries or complaints about SPA projects by attending relevant meetings.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with SPA AppCo’s through regular meetings and communications.
- Offer guidance and support to companies interested in procurement solutions.
- Represent SPA at internal and external events, including 'Meet the Buyer' events and conferences.
- Assist in the preparation of promotional materials related to SPA products and services.
- Acquire and maintain competence in the use of relevant SPA and LHC operating systems.
**Technical Support**:
- Validate contractor prices to ensure compliance with framework agreements.
- Assist in compiling tender documents for call-off services.
- Provide technical support to SPA stakeholders for the use of products and services.
- Participate in factory visits to assess product quality and conformity to specifications.
- Support the Technical Support Manager in reviewing tender documentation, including technical specifications, terms, and pricing schedules.
**What you need**
**Essential**
- Five years' experience in a building/construction/housing environment.
- Understanding of building/construction products and services.
- Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or other databases.
- Vocational qualification in a building or technical discipline.
- Full driver's license for travel across Scotland with occasional overnights.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
**Desirable**
- Previous experience working with housing associations, local authorities, or other public sector organizations.
- General understanding of public sector procurement.
- Knowledge of Microsoft BI and/or CRM.
- Knowledge from a trade or compliance industry background.
