**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity to join a new non clinical project of Care Navigators based within Wirral CAMHS 0-18 Team. This role is designed to support and enhance the Children, Young People and Families experience of their journey through CAMHS, including social prescribing and wider practical support.

This is a front facing role working directly with young people and their family.

**Main duties of the job**:

- Direct contact with children, Young People & their families/carers during their intervention with CAMHS, to 'hold the hand' through the process to build confidence to self manage well being in the future
- Support to access community based services and programmes outside of CAMHS
- Liaise with other professionals and community organisations to provide smooth access to meet to individual needs
- Record contacts and use monitoring systems to ensure evidenced based work capture and used for improvement purpose

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Minimum A level education with English and Maths at C grade or above at GCSE.
- Secretarial and/or I.T. qualification at NVQ Admin level 3, RSA3 or equivalent level of experience.
- Adult and Child Safeguarding Level 3 training
- Equivalent, relevant demonstrable experience.

**Desirable criteria**:

- Basic life support training
- NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.

**Knowledge and Expertise**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Able to motivate other team members to support organisational developments and health promotion initiatives.
- Confident in organising and chairing multiprofessional meetings and case conferences
- Highly organised and reliable and willing to take responsibility for own actions.
- Confident in communication methods and able to communicative effectively with a range of customer and provider groups, verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in the use of negotiation and motivational skills to promote
