JOB DESCRIPTION.
Elizabeth Dowell’s Almshouse Trust is a 200-year-old Almshouse situated in Moseley. It consists of 32 flats providing social housing for elderly, needy people of Birmingham. It has a full-time manager and a Board of Trustees.
Clerk to the Board of Trustees and part time administrator, as needed.
Reports to Chair of Trustees.
Liaise with Chairs and Manager.
Arrange meetings of 5 Committees
- minimum of 20 meetings a year.
Liaise with meeting Chairs to:
Prepare and issue agendas.
Prepare and issue documents for meetings.
Take Minutes, circulate draft minutes, filing minutes documents on Google Shared Drive.
Help induct new Trustees.
Record, manage and issue Policies, Governance and be aware of and react to changes in legislation, as instructed by Trustees.
Chase up responses from internal and external sources.
Essential understanding of Google Shared Drive ,Word and Excel. We strive to be as paperless as possible.
Flexibility, integrity, good personal and communication skills.
Awareness of Social Housing, Almshouse Association and Charity Commission.
Predominantly morning and afternoon meetings.
Salary 18 per hour.
Average approx. 5 hours per week.
