Our finance team plays a crucial role in the success of our business and we have a great opportunity for an experienced Shared Services Senior Finance Assistant to join us in Cheltenham

**Your role**

As a Senior Finance Assistant within our shared services transactional accounting team you will provide a quality service and support to the business.

You'll be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the company cash books, including but not limited to:

- Ensuring bank accounts are in place and setup in Coins
- Daily update and reconciliation of cash books across multiple entities
- Prepare and distribute weekly cash reports
- Assist with the weekly payment run
- Manage the main contractor invoices for developments (small volume, high value)
- Prepare the monthly CIS returns for review and submission
- Provide support and prepare schedules for investor funding requirements
- Coordinate property, utility, Council Tax and service charge invoices

Other responsibilities include:

- Annual audit support
- Provide assistance in the accurate and timely closing of the monthly accounts in line with group timetable
- Provide support and coverage to the other team members
- Contribute to the success of the transactional team by promoting a positive working environment

Some of the responsibilities contained within this role profile may be split where there is more than one Senior Finance Assistant to ensure efficiencies and accountabilities and this will be agreed with the team and line manager.

**What we are looking for**
- Experience of a senior finance assistant role (purchase/sales ledger/cash book)
- Good working knowledge of accounting system, ideally Coins
- Ideally construction sector and subcontractor experience, but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills and timekeeping
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time-keeping
- Impeccable accuracy

We are looking for someone who has strong IT skills, experience of using Google Workspace would be an advantage. You'll join a busy, professional and friendly team based in Cheltenham and we are happy to offer flexibility for hybrid working once a period of office based training is completed.

This is a full time role offering an annual basic salary in the range of £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience) plus a great range of enhanced benefits that includes;
