**The Job**

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Trainee HR Manager and Complaints Handler to join a dynamic and fast-growing relocation business based in West Sussex. As part of this role, you will closely with the Company Directors to conduct company HR activities, working towards your fully funded professional qualification as a Human Resources Manager and proactively manage your own caseload of customer/client complaints. You will take ownership of individual cases and resolve cases to resolve complaints in line with agreed standards and regulations, as well as establishing the root cause of complaints to support business performance.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Accessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs accordingly.
- Ensuring that a company’s procedures comply with employment regulations.
- Monitoring various aspects of an employee’s performance, such as attendance and sick leave.
- Conduct prompt and thorough complaint investigations, collating all available evidence to arrive at a fair and reasonable assessment of the matter under consideration.
- Accurate assessment and mitigation of complaint financial exposure.
- Capture and record key data ensuring its integrity throughout the lifecycle of the complaint.
- Maintain effective portfolio and diary management to minimise complaint lifecycle and adhere to regulatory timelines.
- Analyse and deliver feedback on complaint handling to promote continuous improvement within the business.

**Essential Skills**
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Strong time and diary management skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to use own initiative to explore all options to achieve the best outcome for the business.

Working hours will be 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday from the companies’ state-of-the-art facilities in Horsham, West Sussex.
