Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Business Support Officer
**NHS AfC**: Band 4
Based in Acton House, Worcester
We offer hybrid working (office & home) which is applicable following a 3-month probation period in which the requirement will be full-time office attendance.
Interviews will be face to face at our Kirkham House office in Worcester.
We are looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Business Support Officer to support the Herefordshire and Worcestershire All Age Continuing care team.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the brokerage and contracting function in Sourcing care for individuals and ensuring we adhere to contracting regulations, together with dealing with contracting and commissioning queries.
This role will include close liaison with both NHS partners and wider organisations including the private and voluntary sector.

Key
**Responsibilities**:
Provide specialist administration support and advice to the team and
provide day to day supervision of the administration team within the
relevant workstream, as directed by the CHC Brokerage Manager.
Support the CHC Brokerage Manager to ensure that the portfolio of
task’s/projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively.
Delegating work to ensure that the administration team processes are
followed in an accurate and timely manner.
Support the CHC Brokerage Manager in sourcing care for patient’s,
negotiating with providers and other stakeholders in the process.
Manage an active case load of referrals and effectively communicate
Act as a point of contact for the department, dealing with routine and
specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating
relevant information to stakeholders, referring to others as appropriate.
Communicate effectively with all callers, providing professional and
well-informed responses and dealing with matters in a courteous
manner.
Respond appropriately to queries and complaints on a range of
complex, serious and contentious matters. Ensuring all complaints,
comments and suggestions are dealt with appropriately, in accordance
with policy, resolving where possible and escalating to line manager
when appropriate and acting as first line of support to the team.
Deal with incoming correspondence for the designated work area, ,
responding or redirecting as appropriate, and ensuring that any urgent
or important business is brought to the attention of the relevant person
in good time.

Coordinate agendas and papers for meetings, taking and transcribing
minutes to a high standard and in a timely manner, producing and
updating an action log, and ensure actions are communicated to
relevant parties and followed up to track progress.
Promptly and accurately produce letters, memos, reports, tables,
minutes, presentations and other documents, utilising excellent writing
skills and a good understanding of local processes; copy and distribute
correspondence/information as required.
Support the development of standard approaches and best practice for
a variety of admin tasks and identify continuous processes for
improvement within your area of responsibility, to ensure all work is to
the highest standard and in accordance with ICB policy and procedure.
Manage electronic filing system for the designated work area including
confidential files. Ensuring confidentiality is always maintained in
accordance with Information Governance regulations, including
appropriate filing of documentation.
Support colleagues training, induction and personal development with
practical guidance in a variety of tasks and duties as required.
