**Job summary**:
n this key role you will support and lead elements of the apprenticeship schemes across UKRI. We currently have 50 apprentices across UKRI and have ambitious plans to increase our early talent pipelines.

You will provide support, advice and guidance to managers and apprentices and lead a range of projects to deliver and develop the current apprenticeship scheme which will involve engagement with managers and apprentices across UKRI, as well as external stakeholders.

You will act as an ambassador for UKRI’s apprenticeship programme, internally and externally, ensuring that UKRI continues to have a strong public profile for apprenticeships.

- You'll need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Level 4 qualifications or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and understanding of UK apprenticeships
- Experience of engaging and supporting apprentices and/or those early in their careers
- Excellent organisational skills and focus on the achievement of goals
- Excellent collaboration skills with an ability to develop strong, beneficial relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- An ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Highly developed oral, written and presentational skills and an ability to communicate complex information concisely and clearly
- Working across multi-functional and cross-collaboration teams

**Person specification**:

- The following attributes are desirable:
- Experience of marketing and recruitment in an education related field
- A patient and empathetic attitude towards people in their early career
- Experience of delivering within a complex organisation

Commitment
The Apprenticeship Team is currently working in a hybrid environment with a minimum of 2-3 days per week on site. This role will require occasional travel within the UK to other UKRI sites, and occasional unsocial hours to engage with schools/training providers/parents/young people and participation in Apprenticeship Team activities.
