**The Opportunity**

Prospero Health & Social Care are looking for Experienced Support Workers to engage in temporary contracts to deliver the very best standards and quality of care to Children and Young People in situations of Crisis.

This role will involve caring for these often-vulnerable individuals, assisting them with day-to-day tasks, and supporting them as and when required, providing a safe and nurturing environment. These placements will be in and around Swansea.

You will implement care plans in collaboration with the team you are working with, support young people in developing their living skills and access education / therapy, promote positive behaviour and helping individuals to manage their emotions and behaviours effectively, and help build positive relationships with the individuals themselves, their families and other professionals working in care.

**Placements Available**
- Supporting individuals in unregulated provisions such as Hospitals, Emergency Accommodation, Hotel / Private accommodation.
- Mother & Baby Placements (EG Mother may suffer mental health issues, or drug & alcohol issues)
- A past placement may have broken down and an individual needs to be moved to other accommodation on a temporary basis.
- Respite care for an individual that needs support while a family needs to step away temporarily.

- Full time / Part time - Full Time with varied shift patterns to suit work / life balance.
- Hours - Long Days, Waking Nights, and Sleep in shifts available.

**Benefits**
- £14.50 - £16.50 per hour, higher rates available on weekends. Enhanced rate for Bank Holidays available. Sleep shifts also available.
- Mileage paid for own vehicle if Business Insurance is provided and in place.
- Free mandatory online training as part of our compliance process. Practical training provided free if applicable for placement.
- 24-7 contact available from on-call Consultants through day and night
- Weekly pay.

- Similar work available across England & Wales on other intervention projects.
- A wide variety of placements with children and young people available to gain invaluable experience and career progression. Potential QCF Level 2 and 3.
- Refer a Friend Scheme - £200 when you refer a friend **Subject to terms**

**Requirements**:

- To provide professional references that cover 3 years.
- Must have a Can-Do attitude. A kind, caring, flexible, patient manner, and an ability to remain calm when faced with challenging behaviour and situations as and when they occur. To be able to liaise with professionals.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 36 months
Part-time hours: 24 - 56 per week

**Salary**: £14.50-£16.50 per hour
