At Athena Care Group, we specialise in trauma informed, outcome focused care across our 5 homes. Supporting our children and young people to work through their backgrounds and achieve the best possible outcomes and as a support worker, you will be a crucial part of making this happen

As a support worker with us, you will receive:

- A basic salary of £20,760 - £23,147 (depending on qualifications) plus overtime with earnings up to £23,880 - £26,267 based on 5 sleep in shifts per month.
- £52 per sleep in shift
- A flexible rota given in advance so that you can maintain an adequate work/life balance
- Support in career progression through ongoing training, with nationally recognised qualifications paid for by us

To succeed, you will be required to:

- Be child centred, confident and able to support our young people with their needs.
- Have strong team working skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Be an effective communicator, both written and verbally.
- Have a full manual driver's license.
- Have a high level of empathy and integrity in your work.
- **Be minimum aged 21 due to all colleagues needing to be 3 years older than our oldest young person**
- It is also desirable, but not essential, if you: _
- Have experience in a support work environment with a strong understanding of safeguarding
- Hold QCF Level 3 Health and Social Care (Children and Young People)

You will be set up to succeed in your role with an excellent induction programme and ongoing training, along with progression and development opportunities to allow you to get the most out of your role.

You will also be working with our internal therapeutic support team
- The DASHH Team
- to get extra training and support around trauma informed care and therapeutic practices.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,760.00-£23,147.40 per year
