Accounts & Payroll Assistant

CMA Recruitment Group are working with a reputable SME business based in Fareham, Hampshire, to help them recruit an Accounts & Payroll Assistant on a permanent basis.
This is a newly created role due to a team re-structure and will work amongst a friendly team of 5.
What will the role involve?
- Running the monthly payroll using Sage;
- Timely / accurate inputting of payroll related data from start to finish;
- Accurate checking and reconciling of payroll reports before bacs run;
- Completing year end processes i.e. P60s, P11d and Class 1A calculations;
- Processing of purchase ledger invoices, obtaining authorisation for and coding of invoices, ensuring correct treatment of input VAT and other taxes;
- Reconciliation of bank accounts;
- Managing supplier payment runs including manual international payments;
- Posting and allocating purchase ledger cash.
- The successful Accounts and Payroll Assistant will have prior payroll knowledge and the willingness to learn the finance (if no experience in this field);
- Strong attention to detail and good problem solving skills.
