Supply Chain Administrator

Essential Job Functions/ Responsibilities
- Develop a good understanding of component and raw material codes and ‘Bills of Materials’
- Communicating short and medium term requirements to suppliers;
- Ensuring on time materials availability to enable 100% plan realisation;
- Management and detailed analysis of obsolete and slow moving stocks;
- Managing suppliers;
- Liaising internally with the Logistics, Operations and Quality departments;
- Liaising with U.K. based and international suppliers, customers and transporters;
Qualifications and Experience - Essential
- Good standard of general education;
- G.C.S.E. Mathematics and English, grades A*-C (or equivalent);
- Understanding of supply chain and associated lead times;
- Experience of liaising in-house and externally with people at all levels.
- Experience of working with MRP.
Qualifications and Experience - Desirable
Educated to A-level standard or equivalent;
- Knowledge of Sage X3;
- Experience of working in a FMCG/ pharmaceutical/automotive manufacturing environment;
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment;
Essential Skill Requirements
- High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software, in particular MS Excel;
- Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative;
- Conscientious, self-motivated & proactive;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Desire to work in a fast paced environment;
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail;
- A professional and positive attitude;
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines;
- Highly organised;
- Safety, house-keeping and hygiene aware;
- Flexible/adaptable;
- Assertive.
