**Who are Acis Group?**
We began as a social landlord providing homes in West Lindsey. Now we provide over 7,000 affordable homes across the East Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber. This is through Riverside Training, our employment and skills team, and CLIP, an education provider
This role is all about ensuring our service is delivered to a high quality, excellent standard, meeting Awarding Organisations standards and making sure all assessments are conducted fairly. You’re passionate about providing high standards of support to ensure we can help as many people as possible to reach their potential.
**We are looking for an assessor with the following**:
- JNC Professional Youth Work qualification. Three years’ practice experience, with field work experience in the context of youth work, community work, community education or the voluntary community sector, and/or have broader relevant experience across the youth and community sector in a capacity recognised by the JNC/ETS within the last 3 years
- Have recent experience (within the last three years) of internal quality assurance preferably within an occupational area with relevance to youth work;
- have a sound understanding of the National Occupational Standards for Youth Work;
- have a sound understanding of Ofqual’s requirements for assessment
- hold or be working towards an Internal Quality Assurance qualification (i.e. D.34, V1);
- be committed to, and able to evidence, further training and development. This could include, for example, youth work practice, supervision of practitioners or training delivery.
**As an Internal Quality Assessor, a typical day might include**:
- Checking that tutors and assessors meet the requirement for their role
- Sampling assessment records and decisions
- Ensure awarding organisation qualification standards are met
- Providing support and feedback to tutors and assessors to develop their assessment practices
- Ensure trainee tutors and assessors decisions are countersigned
- Planning how and when you will monitor tutors and assessors
- Identify and support facilitating best practice throughout the organisation
- Plan and conduct learner interviews to ensure quality of delivery
- Maintain the integrity of all programmes by reporting any suspected malpractice or maladministration
- Support our Quality Team with observations, monitoring activities and curriculum development.
**In addition to the above, what else will make you stand out from the crowd;**
- Qualified Level 4 IQA, V1 or alternative recognised internal quality assurance qualification
- Qualified Assessor, TAQA, A1 or equivalent
- A minimum L3 Award in Education and Training (formerly PTLLS)
- Coaching and Mentoring or Advice and Guidance qualification or experience or willing to work towards
- A good standard in education, including maths and English
- Effective oral and written communication, numeracy and interpersonal qualifications & skills to communicate effectively with staff and learners alike.
- A commitment and ability to comply with Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety policies, etc.
