Our Student Success Progression Advisors have the highly rewarding experience of becomingan extension of the university partnership they work with and being an expert in supporting students on the programmes they work with. Working closely with the team of Student Success Information Advisors, the Student Success Progression Advisors provide high-quality support to students from initial enrolmentand throughout their study journey, as they progress towards successful completion of their chosen programme.

About the Job

The Student Success Progression Team Leader manages the activities of a team of Student Success Progression Advisors to achieve student enrolment and satisfaction targets. They must inspire the trust and respect of the team, and in turn stimulate high productivityin both the achievement of our outbound proactive calling of students and our delivery of high-quality support and guidance.

Responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis, they will be the contact point for all team members with excellent communication skills, and able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

? Oversee the day-to-day operation and achievements of a team of Student Success Progression Advisors, whose primary goal is to promote continuous study to achieve graduation in a timely manner, identifying students at risk of failing to achieve their studygoals and providing effective interventions

? Create an inspiring and high-performance team environment, motivating team members to deliver on KPIs and providing appropriate levels of recognition and rewards for accomplishments

? Consistently achieve team annual and teaching period student re-enrolment targets while maintaining a commitment to the ideal student experience

? Achieve high levels of student satisfaction and an on target, positive Net Promoter Score from your team members’ student base by ensuring delivery balancing empathetic pastoral support and active promotion of progression

? Manage KPIs, monitor team performance, accurately forecast, and report on key metrics to stakeholders

? Manage student escalations promptly and effectively to ensure high retention rates

? Develop an open communication culture, listening to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts

? Ensure a positive working culture and team collaboration, leading on team building activities to maintain and develop working relationships

? Successfully hire, induct and onboard new team members

? Foster a culture of professional development for all existing team members, identifying training needs and providing coaching

? Ensure detailed and accurate student records on our customised Salesforce CRM system are maintained

? Be a supremely positive advocate for change

? Establish and maintain excellent relationships throughout the Student Success Team and across Pearson; sharing knowledge, experience and contributing positively to projects

? Operate in conjunction with equivalent Team Leaders to deputise for the Student Success Manager in their absence and undertake their day to day tasks as required

? Demonstrate our Company and POLS UK Values and act as a Brand Ambassador

What we are looking for in you

Essential:
? Proven work experience as a team leader, supervisor or as the go person in a team

? Excellent communication and leadership skills

? Excellent organisational and time-management skills

? Excellent decision-making skills

? Experience on-boarding new team members

? Experience in Customer Service and/or Account Management in B2C or B2B environments where retention is the key performance indicator

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office and IT systems

? Ability to communicate and collaborate with people from a diverse range of cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds

? Ability to work flexibly and some weekend cover

Preferable:
? Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualifications

? Experience in Student services/education liaison/student support/distance learners support/working in an education sector

? Experience hiring or recruiting new team members

? Higher Education experience and/or Knowledge of the UK Higher Education sector
