**About the Role**

The Sale Co-Ordinator is an integral role in the expert department, supporting the Specialists in the successful delivery of auctions as well as the day to day running of the department.

**About the Department**

Bonhams|Cars department is the largest auction house to hold auction sales of classic motor cars, motorcycles and related memorabilia. The auctions are held in conjunction with some of the most renowned global motoring events at truly charismatic locations including the International Classic MotorCycle Show and Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show.

We have set many world records, including - The ex-Tony McAlpine, Jack Ehret, Australian Land Speed Record Breaking, 1951 Vincent 998cc Black Lightning for $929,000 at the 2018 Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Sale Coordinator:

- You will be the department’s experienced user of Auctioneer 3, Bonhams’ bespoke Auction Management System and primary business tool as well as Ebis, our Invoicing platform.
- You will be liaising with clients regarding their property throughout the sale cycle, including generating, and processing entry forms and consignment contracts, requesting and uploading client details and payment management.
- You will follow the Bonhams Admin guidelines, ensuring that all lots are offered compliantly with the appropriate sales contract, seller due diligence and where necessary, corporate governance approval.
- You will help co-ordinate the movement of property throughout the sale cycle, working with regional offices, Shipping partners, Operations & our Photography team to ensure efficient and compliant stock transfer.
- During the cataloguing process, you will ensure all photographs and text are uploaded in a timely manner and that the Bonhams Sale Page is presentable at all times.
- You will work with Client Services, Vendor & Buyer Accounts, Operations and Shipping partners to support clients with after sale enquiries, including the resolution of payments and arranging shipping quotes for both purchased and unsold lots.
- At sales, you will be responsible for the cataloguing and recording the spare parts, history files and registration paperwork being delivered alongside the vehicles and equally releasing them after the sale.
- You will be responsible for processing vehicle registration documents post-sale on behalf of our clients.
- You will ensure all files / paperwork needed for outside sales are prepared prior to departure from office.
- You will support your department with preparing valuations, condition reports and condition photography as required.
- You will work with your Senior Admin and the fellow Motoring Admins to provide support, when needed, to the other Motoring Teams as well and contribute to the wider Bonhams Admin Community.
- As an important part of the Department, you will also support on many day-to-day auction activities and ensure the Department has all it needs to run smoothly and effectively. Tasks will include responding to client enquiries pre
- and post-sale, bidding, and event management.
- Event management - You will work with a list of contractors and suppliers in the lead up to each event organising and arranging delivery, install and supply of services.
- Some Motorcycles auctions are held on Saturday or Sunday, therefore weekend work is required. You may also need to stay away (at company expense), on-site for 3 to 5 days at a time depending on the sale. The Motorcycle Teams occasionally attend events at the weekends where you may also be asked to attend. On these occasions, you will stay away at company expense.
