Agri-Food and BioSciences Institute (AFBI) is a leading provider of scientific research and services to government, non-governmental organisations and commercial organisations. We are sponsored by our key stakeholder, the Department of Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA).

An opportunity has arisen to be part of the AFBI Estate Management & Development Branch under FCAD which has the responsibility for delivery of the following key services:

- All aspects of Estate and facilities management services across the AFBI occupied estate at Crossnacreevy, Hillsborough, Loughgall (Manor Estate, Churchfield; and Deerpark Farm sites), Newforge Lane, Omagh, and Stormont (Stoney Road).

**Key Responsibilities of the Premises Officer (EOI) post include the following**:

- Ensuring that policies relating to the safety and security of AFBI Newforge premises are fully implemented.
- Organising and facilitating works under the AFBI Specialist Laboratory Gas Maintenance contract
- Ensuring site security procedures are in place and managed (including adherence AFBI Site Security Policy / CCTV Policy) to make the premises, contents and staff secure e.g. the Access Control System, site security, CCTV.

**You must meet the following criteria;**
- 5 GCSE’s / O Level (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English, at grades A-C plus 2 years’ experience related to the management of estate and facility management services

**OR**
- 4 years’ experience related to the management of estate and facility management services

**AND**
- Demonstrable experience in IT programs related to the management of estate and facility management services which should include the use of Microsoft Office, record management systems and online management systems

**AND**
- Demonstrable experience of effective communication, setting and prioritising goals to help achieve business objectives.
