**Purchasing Assistant**

**Role brief**

You will work alongside the Purchasing Manager taking ownership of the order processing procedures from commencement to completion including the administration process, you must be confident in dealing with people at all levels. The role is varied, and the successful applicant must have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

You will be joining a great team and will have day to day interaction across the board.

**Main accountabilities**
- Liaising with warehouse to analyse Stock movement and monitor stock control
- Monitor stock levels on site and stock held with Suppliers
- Collate monthly stock valuations to be signed off by Purchasing Manager
- Issuing purchase orders to suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers.
- Contact with suppliers to improve delivery dates to meet production requirements
- Track incoming orders and maintain production planner
- Ensuring orders received are accurate and strong understanding of time scales from ordering goods to receiving goods on receipt.
- Handle goods throughout the purchasing process
- Proactive approach to goods being received.
- Answer all relevant queries, including purchase ledger and stock
- Sign off PO’s to agreed authorisation level, escalating orders above this level to the Purchasing Manager
- Ensure documentation is regularly completed and updated in line with our policies and external regulations
- Administering everyday business activities to ensure maintenance of all supply in the business as directed by the Purchasing Manager

**Experience and Skills**
- Clear communication.
- Logistics import and export knowledge.
- Experience in product buying, purchasing, and forecasting.
- High level of numerical, accuracy and verbal skills.
- Accurately raise and process Purchase Orders managed via the in-house IT system
- Liaise with all relevant internal departments to ensure procedures are completed smoothly
- Complete the full purchasing process from identifying stock requirements through to order placement
- Experience in a purchasing or administration role
- IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent telephone manner
- Prioritise a varied workload with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to work with a ‘can do’ attitude

**Renumeration**

Salary £24,000 to £26,000 pa depending on experien

Annual holiday 31 days including bank holidays

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
