The Role & Responsibilities

To assist with the collation of documents for initial Underwriting and handle the process from execution of loans through to completion; providing service in line with expectations of applicable Property sector Develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues and other third parties. To be flexible with responsibilities, priorities, and targets, and have a positive attitude towards company and departmental objectives and changes.
- To actively manage a pipeline of cases in support of the Lending team through to completion
- To work closely with the Compliance and Quality Control Department to ensure that the Secured Lending Departments policies and procedures are always up to date and accurate
- To manage the customer contact at the designated points in the process such as “speak withs,” ensuring all calls are handled professionally
- To complete quality review checks after offer issue, but prior to completion to ensure all data has been accurately noted to mitigate any potential risk to the bank or customer
- To ensure data held on origination system is of the highest quality to enable future accurate management information and customer contact can be maintained
- To meet division defined service level agreements across all tasks and post received by the Bank
- To build successful working relationships with external contacts such as brokers, customers, surveyors and solicitors as w ell as internal teams such as lending managers and finance to help to ensure all lending requirements are satisfied prior to release of funds
- To be flexible with responsibilities and have a positive attitude towards any changes to role, company/departmental objectives, priorities, and targets
- To provide support to the Underwriters w here necessary
- Identity ways to improve department productivity or quality of service to brokers

The Person
- A good understanding of the commercial mortgage sector
- A good knowledge and understanding of legal conveyancing Experience
- Strong financial industry and administration experience
- Experience of working to tight deadlines
- Experience of working in a team
- Computer literate (good knowledge of MS Office suite - Excel, Word, Power-Point)
- Industry Awareness - regulations (TCF, money laundering, FSA etc)
- Adaptable & Flexible
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
