**Job overview**:
This role will require you to work within a team as well as on your own at times, to help maintain and keep the hospital running smoothly.

The role will need you to help the builder with there duties ,like plastering, bricklaying, relaying slabs, checking and maintaining the drains as well as many more duties around the site.

You will also be needed to carry out minor works around the hospital like replacing tiles putting up different kinds of dispensers among other types of jobs.

This role can have a varying types of work and can bring great satisfaction in the knowledge that the work you do contributes to giving people a more comfortable stay.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
Perform unsupervised routine maintenance and minor repair work that does not require the attention of a fully qualified craftsperson, related to his/her training.

Learn minor repair work related to other trades as required.

Use all relevant tools safely and responsibly.

To undertake training for new practices, procedures and equipment.

To assist colleagues on new work and repairs.

To perform other routine tasks including laboring as and when required.

To carry out all duties of engineering Storeman when requested, using computerised stock control system.
