Catering is at the heart of the organisation -You will be responsible for receiving and receipting deliveries of fresh, chilled, frozen and ambient dry goods from suppliers ensuring thorough inspection has been carried out on receipt of goods and preparing deliveries of food items to ward and departments across the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The catering department at QE Hospital is expanding our team and recruiting Band 2 Catering Stores person working 6.30am - 14.30pm shift patterns plus alternate weekends Shift ENH, along with a public sector pension, 27 days leave and the opportunity to advance your skills and career.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
No experience is required as full training is provided, so if you're friendly with a 'can-do' attitude, then we want to hear from you.

These are Permanent roles working with one of Birmingham's largest employers. In return, you will receive a starting salary and benefits package of 20,270 (10.36 per hour + Shift ENH), along with a public sector pension, 27 days annual leave and the opportunity to advance your skills and career.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- GCSE Equivalent in English and Maths
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to undertake in the induction period

**Desirable**:

- Relevant Catering qualifications
- Higher Catering Education
- Other Education

**Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Health and Safety or willingness to undertake in induction period
- Food Hygiene Regulations or willingness to undertake in induction period
- Willingness to undertake specific competencies to meet the full requirements of the role

**Desirable**:

- Previous Catering Work Experience
- Previous Hospital or Care Experience
- Catering related knowledge
- Allergy Regulations

**Additional Criteria**:
**Essential**:

- Literate with basic I.T skills
- Read and understand written documentation
- Verbally communicate with people
- Presentable
- Work in large teams
- Able to work in hot and cold environments
