**Legionella Risk Assessor**

**Job Opportunity - Legionella Risk Assessor living in or near to North London.**

This job opportunity offers the potential to join their talented and passionate team of expert engineers and service technicians who are extremely experienced consulting engineers with many years of industry knowledge between them and be part of the team that delivers in the most sustainable, transparent and environmentally responsible way possible helping their clients to do the same.

On offer is a salary of up to £35,000 per year plus overtime, company van, mobile phone, tablet, pension scheme, 21 days holiday plus all bank holidays and career progression. Please note this job does require staying away 2 to 3 nights a week.

**The Legionella Risk Assessor will**:
Be responsible for helping the company deliver all services in connection with water management and legionella control ensuring that both the company and its clients are fully compliant with current legislative requirements.

**As the Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for the effective management and implementation of the following water management and energy services which will include**:

- Assisting in the management of a team of engineers to meet the needs of clients’ water hygiene demands.
- Organising and planning respective site works, planning attendance for respective engineers.
- Providing technical advice and guidance to both team members and site operatives in relation to current legionella and water hygiene legislation.
- Managing a team of engineers allocating workloads and assisting in technical supervision.
- Providing Health & Safety advice and training to employees in connection with the provision of the respective services.
- Providing legionella awareness training to clients in line with the set training template.
- Conducting risk assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 / HSG 274 and HTM 04-01 guidelines.
- Obtaining and providing quotations and tenders for small remedials and works.
- Implementing effective control and management regimes for water services.
- Undertaking clean and chlorination works of domestic water services and cooling towers.
- Managing and supervising control of heating and chilled water closed system analysis.
- Producing related reports.
- Populating and programming records for buildings.
- Visiting corporate accounts, building and maintaining relationships with clients at all levels.
- Specifying and project managing works in relation to legionella and water services remedial works.
- Obtaining quotes and tenders for small remedial works.
- Maintaining and validating site records for required maintenance activities.
- Complying with the requirements of the Legionella Control Association.
- Coordinating and supervising in hour and on-site contractor site activities with other ongoing site activities.

**To be considered as the Legionella Risk Assessor you will need the following skills and experience**:
**Essential to have**:

- To be computer literate and used to using major software (Word, Excel etc.,).
- Good interpersonal, communication, management and organisational skills.
- A thorough knowledge of current legislation and guidance on the control of legionella bacteria and water quality.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of current and future environmental legislation.
- A thorough knowledge of HSEs ACOP L8.
- A good understanding of the requirements of the Legionella Control Association Membership.
- Awareness of Health & Safety issues and the need for safe methods of working.
- A full UK driving licence.
- An in-depth knowledge and experience of dealing with corporate accounts and clients.
- The ability to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly.
- The ability to work to a high standard against agreed timescales with limited supervision.
- The willingness and be happy to work away from home during the working week.

**Desirable to have would be experience / knowledge including**:

- Chemical and biological water sampling, with an understanding of basic water chemistry.
- How to undertake and manage the operation of evaporative cooling towers.
