**Job Brief**

**Responsibilities**
- Effective management of the subcontract services base including new work placement, price increase management, supplier queries, invoicing issues and order bookings
- Management of the supply chain (subcontractors) including compliance, purchasing and administration
- Work alongside the Supply Chain Manager to negotiate contracts, pricing and services with suppliers ensuring best value for money and highest quality service
- Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
- Manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain
- Consider the environmental impact of the supply chain in order to meet customer and our own in-house sustainability targets
- Onboarding and sourcing of new subcontractors in line with business needs
- Sub-contract administration to be completed in line with company / system process and within the agreed time frames, engaging with the compliance team as necessary
- Assisting with any tenders, bids and proposals by supporting the Business Development Managers and Head of Commercial on new opportunities
- Manage and control outstanding workflow through the operating system (Waste Logics) to allow for speedy month end closure
- Demonstrate an understanding of current/emerging legislation and the waste industry and understand how this can influence business strategy
- Work with colleagues to ensure that admin is managed efficiently therefore providing customers and suppliers with an excellent customer experience

**Role Responsibilities**
- Previous experience in the waste or recycling industry would be extremely beneficial but not compulsory
- Previous experience in procurement, supply chain or purchasing is necessary
- Strong organisational skills with sharp attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Computer literate with solid experience of MS Office programmes
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE Level C / Grade 4 or equivalent
