Healthworks is one of the largest charities working with local communities across the North East to tackle health inequalities and improve health, wellbeing and life outcomes. Our work has been nationally recognised as making an outstanding contribution to the health and well-being of local communities by the King’s Fund.

We are supporting Newcastle’s Cost of Living Support plan, operating a dedicated hotline providing advice and signposting residents to support across 3 key areas: Wellbeing, Food and Financial Support.

We are currently recruiting for a Cost of Living Support Officer on a fixed term contract. You will provide residents with a central place they can go to get advice and support. The service will offer support whilst also signposting residents to the most appropriate place for support and will seek to empower people to take control of their own lives.

In summary you will
- Take inbound calls providing residents with a central point of contact for any key support and referrals to other services.
- Offer advice and support on issues that might be making winter and cost of living crisis more difficult, such as: food, money, work, transport for vaccinations and more.
- Provide brief advice, information and onward referrals to local services via an existing online Microsoft forms with the consent of the individual
- Call residents back who have submitted a form, to go through advice, information and support that can be provided
