**Information about the role**

An exciting opportunity to work in Counter Terrorism in a national role within CTP HQ Coordination Centre, currently based at New Scotland Yard. The Coordination Centre consists of the following teams and functions;
- Briefing and mobilisation - moving CT assets to meet demand and providing operation briefings to the CTP HQ Senior Leadership team, Senior National Coordinator for CT, Chief Officers and Government partners. Responding to national CT incidents and providing support to senior officers
- National Terrorism Arrest Database - NTAD - an analytical database used to record all arrests made by CT officers
- CatTrak Database - Investigations Tracker and Categorisation Tool - an analytical database to record CT investigations

This advert is for the briefings and mobilisation team. The Coordination Centre work closely with a number of senior officers (SNC, ACSO), as well as internal and external partners (Security Services, Homeland Security, Westminster Court etc). You will work closely with all counter terrorism policing regions across the UK and will need to develop an understanding of the various roles within Counter Terrorism Policing.

The Coordination Centre is currently based at New Scotland Yard. Where appropriate and possible there are opportunities for smarter working, however this role utilises secure systems which cannot be accessed remotely and a blended approach to the business need is required.

There is an opportunity to complete on call functions. Duties involve shifts between 0700-1800 hours (due to change to 0800-1600 hours in summer 2023) and at present, one weekend working in 5, this is due to decrease with more persons joining the team.

**Responsibilities**
- Providing support to the UK Regions and Forces from NCBRNC in relation to CBRN testing and exercising.
- Supporting international projects.
- Maintaining, developing and enhancing relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that lessons learned are disseminated and built into training products, doctrine and operational processes.
- Assisting NCBRNC Training team in facilitating and delivering exercises.
- Reviewing and examining opportunities for better organisational learning processes.
- Assisting in the further development of the Organisational Learning System (OLS) to enhance reporting of CBRN operational, training and T&E lessons.
- Being part of an on call cadre which provides 24/7 advice and support to the UK Police Service in relation to suspected CBRN incidents.
- Holding a valid UK driving licence as you’ll be required to visit various locations across the UK.
