**Job description**

Moray Estates are looking for a trained craftsman fitter or electrician to operate and undertake first line maintenance on their Anaerobic Digestion Power Station (ADPS)

Moray Estates are the property interests of the Earl of Moray and family which have owned and managed since 1562. The Estates continue to invest in future success including in renewable energy such as the ADPS. The anaerobic digester plant is substantial mechanical and electrical system which includes agricultural handling plant, pumps, ATEX gas zones, gas holding tanks, and generating plant. The plant includes automatic control systems known as SCADA. Specialist training will be given.

**Plant Craftsman Operator**

Undertake daily plant operations including loading feed, sampling, plant monitoring, and adjustment.

Undertake first line planned and reactive maintenance including taking your part in a rota to address occasional out of hours plant needs

Undertake initial fault finding and diagnosis of plant problems initiating and coordinating the assistance of term contractors, consultants and colleagues until restored.

Bring the available resources together to deliver the agreed plans by being an enthusiastic communicator using weekly meetings and other communications

**The postholder shall be qualified and or experienced **as follows*:
**Essential**
- An apprenticeship successfully served with vocational qualifications in a relevant craft discipline (fitter, electrician, comms, etc) - with minimum a full range of topics learnt vocationally to BTEC Level 3.
- 3 years experience in a utility, mechanical-electrical systems or other continuous plant operations environment having either a hands-on operations role, maintenance role, commissioning role or similar
- Appropriate physical condition for working as a lone worker in this physically demanding environment
- Full driving licence and UK residency rights, well versed with common PC, phone and related modern work technology

**Desirable**
- A HNC/HND or similar in an engineering, scientific or agricultural discipline but this does not negate the need for having completed the specified hands on apprenticeship beforehand

A previous role that includes working in a relevant role at anaerobic digestion, power generation, brewing or agricultural engineering environment
- Experience of working with bulk flammable gases
- Nebosh certificate, Iosh or similar industrial safety qualification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
