Finance Officer
**Job Description**:
The Finance Officer role will cover all the companies under the our umbrella. The Finance Officer role covers a variety of activities and needs someone who is flexible and can adapt to the needs of the operations.
Reports to: Finance Manager
Type of Employment: Contract based (10 months)
Start: Beginning of March ideally
**Salary**:
Key Accountabilities (but not limited to):
- Maintaining and managing purchase ledger, accurately and timely
- Purchase orders management and reconciliation against budgets
- Credit control - banking, float management, disputes etc
- Ensuring timely payment of supplier invoices and processing payment runs
- Basic reconciliations of expenses and credit card accounts
- Cash and Credit Card takings recording and analysing
- Ensuring any accounts in dispute are investigated and resolved
- Creditor liaison, supplier statement reconciliation and cost benefit analysis
- Maintenance of records and inputting data on Sage
- To prepare and input accruals, journals
- To ensure that all relevant financial data, records and reports are ready for collation for monthly management account reports
- To assist and handle all financial queries and enquiries working with suppliers, clients and staff, internal and external
- Assist with and carry out ad hoc duties as requested by Finance Manager or Director
Person Specification
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Excellent IT skills with confident use of Microsoft Office Word and outlook
- Excellent working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Excel and spreadsheets - essential
- Sage proficient - essential
- Proficient and confident use of financial accounting systems for data entry and reporting - essential
- 2 years’ experience working in an office environment and being a part of a financial team
- Must have the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines and be flexible to meet demands within a sometime pressurised and difficult environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work on own as well as in a group environment
- Be willing to go on site and work long hours to meet financial needs required at festivals
- Good at maintaining and working cash systems
- Effective people and communication skills
