Change Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Payroll Assistant for our client’s Edinburgh office. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you would join a small and close knit team to support the running of end-to-end payroll for 500+ staff andupdating the system with any benefits changes.

This role would be well suited to those who are Excel proficient and confident communicators as speaking with the client’s stores and employees is part of the role.

The salary for the role is circa £23k.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Supporting monthly payrolls and payroll legislation including RTI, auto enrolment, PAYE, holiday pay, pensions etc
- Maintaining company database including the processing of starters and leavers
- Handling internal payroll queries from stakeholders
- Liaising with external stakeholders including HMRC, DWP etc
- Analysing and updating systems / processes
- Supporting ad hoc reporting and other ad hoc duties

**Skills and experience**:

- Minimum of 1 year payroll experience
- Good communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Sage Payroll would be desirable
