Telephone Support Volunteer

**About The Role**:
Want to use your interpersonal skills over the telephone to provide vital support and services information to people affected by dementia?
As a Telephone Support Volunteer, you will help keep people affected by dementia connected to support and services available to them. You will be a key point of contact for people living with dementia and their carers and ensure that we keep in touch with people who need our support. You will provide a service tailored to a person's interests, abilities, history, and personality.
- Come and join the Pennine Lancashire Dementia Support team and help us to keep in touch with people living with dementia across East Lancashire.
You will work alongside our local Dementia Advisers to help keep people living with dementia connected with support services. You will make follow up calls after they have received support from us maintaining our relationship with them and talking to them about any further support they may need.
This role can be done from your own home with hours to suit you. Full training and development opportunities will be provided, including shadowing the Dementia Advisers in their roles along with access to our specific dementia elearning modules.
Three Hours per week

- You want to enable people affected by dementia to access the right support.
- You have good verbal communication and listening skills, particularly on the telephone.
- You are perceptive and able to demonstrate empathy with others.
- You are flexible, willing to learn and enjoy being part of a team.
- You are over the age of 18
