Working within the Authentication division of De La Rue, and under the direction of the Change, Release and Transition Manager, the Change, Release and Transition Co-Ordinator assumes day to day responsibility for communication, guidance, and operation of the Change, Configuration, Release Management and Service Transition processes across numerous customers and De La Rue services.

You will guide various teams in the correct use of Change Management, Release Management and Service Transition techniques and ensure processes are correctly followed, providing support and guidance where required. There may be a requirement to support the Change, Release and Transition Manager as a Deputy.

We are currently operating a hybrid working policy which will afford the role holder the opportunity to work from home and the office. This role may require occasional travel within the UK and internationally.

**_ What will you be doing?_**

Change and Release Management
- Co-ordinating changes across multiple customers and De La Rue services to include: Technical, Service Improvement, Contract and Operational Changes, ensuring correct process and procedures are followed and changes are accurately recorded, scheduled, controlled and communicated.
- Assessing the priority and impact of all changes for accuracy and clarity.
- Assessing the Forward Schedule of Change (FSC) for the impact of all planned changes, including events
- Co-ordinating change approvals; liaising between approvers, initiators and customer.
- Creating, preparing and distributing Change Management documentation and communications including but not limited to:

- FSC
- Change Advisory Board (CAB) Agenda and minutes
- Management reports and analysis
- House-keeping and queue management of Change records and their associated Request for Change Forms (RFCs) within the Service Management Toolset
- Providing knowledge, support and training to initiators, approvers and other stakeholders.
- Managing the Change Management mailbox ensuring all activities are actioned in a timely manner
- Ensuring all releases are planned, documented, communicated, and validated utilising the Change and Release processes.
- Producing Release documentation including, Release Plans, Release Notes and Post Implementation Reports.
- Communicating Release progress through regular internal progress meetings.
- Configuration Management
- Managing the control and update of Configuration Items (CIs) contained in the Configuration Management Databases (CMDB) throughout their lifecycle to ensure accuracy and integrity. This will include but is not limited to updates following:

- Closure of changes
- Break / Fix incidents
- Service Requests
- Decommission
- Maintaining and administering the change tracking and version control systems.
- Ensuring all system and documentation baselines are maintained and current.
- Collecting, recording, updating, and reporting on CI data; i.e. providing status accounting detail of each CI under change and reporting on unauthorised change.
- Updating the CMDB to ensure CIs are regularly tracked and updated.
- Liaising with Project Managers, etc., to ensure that a new or updated Configuration Plan is in place for all new initiatives that will remove, change or introduce CIs.
- Transition Management
- Assist in the development of clear and comprehensive roll-out plans that enable the alignment of business activities.
- Analysing and communicating release and deployment risks and business impact to stakeholders.
- Conducting meetings such Acceptance into Service (AIS) Review meetings, change evaluation, knowledge transfer and Early Life Support period meetings.
- Actively participating in project meetings, providing insight and expertise to influence decisions and next steps for service transition.
- General
- Contributing to the continual improvement of all processes and identifying areas for improvement
- Document and maintain process and procedures documentation of all processes
- Maintain awareness of all contractual and ISO requirements to ensure compliance
- Other duties as reasonable requested

**What qualifications, skills and experience are we looking for?**
- Educated to degree level or significant equivalent practical experience
- ITIL V3 Foundation certificate (required)
- ITIL V3 Release, Control and Validation certificate (desirable)
