**Summary**:
The Parliamentary Maintenance Team serves both the Commons & Lords carrying out reactive maintenance requests on the Parliamentary Estate.

The in-house craft team consist of some 45 craft persons and assistants ranging from electricians and plumbers to upholsterers and locksmiths etc who provide a day to day reactive repair service across the estate. The team also provides support for large ceremonial events such as State Opening of Parliament.

**Job description**:

- We are currently recruiting a Stores Coordinator based on the Parliamentary estate in Westminster. Your role will be to ensure our staff have the necessary resources to maintain our grade one listed buildings and UNESCO world heritage site as well as all the other buildings that make up the parliamentary estate. The role is varied as we provide a comprehensive service to the estate; coordinating the activities of our store keepers, acting as relief storekeeper as and when required, maintaining stock levels, liaising with craft team members to ensure stock reflects current activities, maintain records for health and safety (COSHH), ensuring value for money is achieved when purchasing, chairing stores meetings, providing reports and keeping financial records are just a few examples of the types of work you would be expected to undertake in this role.**Responsibilities**:

- Experience of Stores Coordination including maintaining a system of inventory control; stock taking; financial audits; chairing effective meetings; coordination of staff activities.
- Health and Safety Coordination including experience of working on a large estate; managing areas of health and safety in particular control of substances hazardous to health; promoting safe working to colleagues; maintaining a safe working environment; contributing to safe systems of work.
- Good communications skills including experience of relating to team members and customers whilst upholding the values of equality, diversity and inclusion; communicating ideas to stake holders to resolve problems with a broad range of people at all levels and organising effective meetings.
